COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Uncles are like Dads, only cooler – just like IPA’s are a cooler version of Pale Ales. Insane Uncle was our first IPA and, just like your real uncle, it is bold and brash and lot’s of fun at parties.

BubbleTicks26 (308) - Newcastle, AUSTRALIA - JUL 31, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2021 Poured from a can into an IPA glass. Citrus aroma. Pours a clear golden colour with a white head that holds well. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Refreshing and well balanced, but bulk standard IPA.

Maris (2828) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JUL 31, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2021 From a 355ml can on 31/7/2021. Pours a clear medium golden with a small head. Not a lot going on with the nose, just a bit grassy and herbal. The flavour is more pronounced - fruity but not overly sweet, with lots of green and herbal notes. Finished with a firmish resiny bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A bit messy and a very long way from Dainton's best.

From a can. Not as insane as I’d expected, pretty standard example that is very drinkable.

Hop_Hedonist (1078) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 26, 2017
Bottle - malt dominant from go to whoa - too malty for me - a bit cloying and thick on the tongue - yes, I get the hops but they’re swamped by the malt - not the vibrancy I seek.

Classic aggressive, arrogant American IPA. Lots of bitter hops, not a whole lot of fruit or pine. Dry and lingering on the palate.

varanid99 (1470) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 23, 2017
Orange-gold pour with a tight off-white head. Big tropical fruit aroma; passionfruit, pine and caramel. Sweetish, pine, passionfruit, with long bitter finish. Good one.
