At least it doesn’t taste just like 5 other things they have on tap at the same time - an improvement for the kings of monotony. +++ Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy beige head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, coffee and cocoa. The flavor was dryish, roasty and woody with a bit of coffee. Long finish. Light to medium body. Meh.
Poured a darker brown with a beige head. Aroma was roasty, light dark chocolate and mild grassy hops. Flavor was a bit acrid upfront, charred coffee, mild dark chocolate, but thin, not really a downfall consideting the abv.
