CraftyBob (122) - Horsham, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2020 Pours a deep, very dark brown with slight creamy head and light to moderate carbonation. Sweet vanilla dominates the nose with a touch of roastiness. Body is restrained for 5.9% but carries a solid, creamy sweetness which pivots around bucket loads of vanilla with decent length finish. Very drinkable.

BeardedAvenger (5128) - New Haw, Surrey, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 28, 2020 Can from Waitrose, West Byfleet. Sweet creamy vanilla caramel aroma with underlying coffee. Darkest brown. Creamy beige head thins out on top. Sweet but reigned in by a bitter core and sour periphery. Boozy coffee with a vanilla streak. Medium bodied. Creamy if light. Average carbonation. Slightly astringent and somewhat abrupt finish. Nice. Smooth. But perhaps not overly memorable.

Parmenion777 (1288) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2020 440ml can - Pours a clear dark brown colour with a small light tan head that settled. Aroma is sweet roasted malts, vanilla custard and some chocolate. A sweet taste, rich vanilla custard, sweet caramel, malt and some chocolate flavours with a dry sweet finish. A bit artificial and a bit too much lactose.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2020 Puszka. Czarne z lekkimi rdzawymi refleksami. Dominuje słodka nuta wanilii, laktoza i mleczna czekolada. W tle palony słód, karmel gdzieś w tle majacza słodkie owoce lub kandyzowane wiśnie. Małe wysycenie,delikatne...bardzo pijalne

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2020 [44cl bottle from Waitrose, Bracknell.] A beautiful glossy mahogany coloured pour with a reddish gleam and a tight beige head; aroma of burnt caramel; sweet in the mouth with a smooth body and deeply roasted malts adding bitterness and a touch of smoke; then a sweet finish with traces of vanilla custard. Does just what it says on the tin.

PubTun33 (279) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2020 440ml can from Waitrose. Brent Cross for £3.00. Part of the brewery’s rotating series. Dated as best before 01/11/2020. Served fridge cold into a Spiegelau stout glass. The beer pours the darkest shade of mahogany possible. Any darker and it would cross into the lighter shades of black. Some micro bubbles are visible streaming close to the edge of the glass when held to the light. Two fingers of thick creamy head develop. Honeycomb in colour and leaving a patchy lacing as the drink goes down. The aroma is outstanding. To state the obvious, it smells like crème brûlée. Baked custard, brown sugar, confectioners sugar, sweet roasted malts, and quality vanilla beans. If the body was thick enough I’d happily dig in with a spoon. The taste is a little more tempered than the aroma. Lactose, Belgian ale-esque sugar, vanilla bean. The roasted malt plays a more prominent role than in the aroma. Sweet, but mellows off as the beer warms to room temperature. Slightly sickly. Slight sweet aftertaste. Low carbonation in the mouth. Creamy, velvety mouthfeel of a good milk stout. A very good beer. Definitely one I’d drink in lieu of, or alongside a, dessert. Outstanding aroma, score brought down slightly by the taste not being as tastebud blowing as expected.
