UPDATED: JAN 5, 2022 12 oz from the Brewvana 12 Beers of Christmas Advent box. Day 11. Aroma has notes of pine, caramel, grapefruit, bread. Pours hazy new penny copper with a one finger beige head with good retention. Taste has a high level of pithy bitterness with some candy sweetness in the background. Nice Northwest style IPA. Refreshing to have something this bitter again.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2021 Can. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light biscuit malt.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2020 12 oz can stamped 6/12/20, poured hazy orange amber with off-white head. Medium bodied. Pine and citrus aroma, resinous bitter taste and finish.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2020 April 9th, 2016 - DC Brau's cheeky beer names continues with the bitterness of political corruption, and a dark, almost maudlin beer. The smell is steely and metallic, and the flavor pleasantly bitter, with a surprisingly hood balance. Long aftertaste and mildly sweet but without any clear fruity notes.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2020 With my buddy, this one is way over hopped, cost me five dollars a beer so way over priced, but I’m in to DC so to be expected.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2019 It pours golden and clear with a full slightly off white head. Head retention is excellent. It has a strong stone fruit and pine aroma. There are some grainy sweet elements from the malt and a bit of bread. It has a grainy sweet and bread malt backbone with stone fruits and pine. There are also very low citrus elements. It has a medium body with slight alcohol warming. Overall, slightly hop forward with a noticeable malt backbone.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2019 Maybe I got an old can of this but it tasted awful and old. I've drain poured worse beers than this. Smells like rotting apricots and looks like piss from a dehydrated camel. Were it not for the fact I paid $2 for the can at a bottle shop up the street, I would've chucked it on principal.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2019 burnt orange corruption rotting away at the core of DC. The stink. The horror. The idiotic orangutan. The beer is an ok IPA. Tastes like an IPA and smells like an IPA. Too much bitter hop aftertaste for me and not enough malt balance. Not my favorite style but solid I guess if you like that type of thing.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2019 From the can. Golden color. Nice resinous pine hop aroma and flavor. Moderate to high perceived hop bitterness. Little bit of sweetness hidden in there from the caramel malt. Nice brew.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2019 Gezapft in einem Retsuarant in DC. Bernstein, klar, kein Schaum. Aroma: Frucht, Zitrone, Melone, Ananas. Geschmack: Sehr bitter. Melone, Zitrus. Etwas Karamell, Rosine
