COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a blend of 1,2,3,4 year old lambic, taken from four foeders, and made especially for the Gooikoorts folk festival. The addition of four-year old lambic, makes it one of De Cam’s most complex beers. With a funky aroma, a distinct tartness, with flavors of green apples, horse blanket, apricots and citrus fruits. Karel says that beer is at it’s best after seven-years or more in the cellar.

ineedbeer (3410) - California, USA - OCT 24, 2020
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2020 Poured from a 750 ml, 2018 vintage bottle. Aroma is fairly funky and herbal with nice earthy notes. Light peppery notes and a bit of grassy, minty character. Faint malt notes and light oak. Hints of stone fruit and lemon. This bottle fucking gushes. Pours a hazy, pale, golden color with a super large, moderately thick, white head that recedes quickly to a small film that lingers. Medium light lacing and small legs. Flavor has a medium light acidity and hints of grain. Light bitterness and faint alcohol notes. Light oak and hints of citrus and stone fruit. Moderately strong herbal, funky notes with nice minty, peppery and grassy notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied and very carbonated. Light astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really solid geuze. Really nice herbal, earthy funk with hints of citrus and stone fruit. Well balanced and easy drinking. If not for the carbonation this would be near perfect for its age.
