Beer5000 (9502) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 19, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 19, 2021 Backlog January 2017. Unclear copper orange body under a light, tan head. Aroma has mild smoked malt with caramel. Taste is smooth smoked malt, toffee and some generic fruit. Feels quite light and a bit neutral in the start, but grows in taste after a few sips.

DraftDodger (5615) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 18, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 18, 2021 Copenhagen 18/3 2021. 33 cl bottle from Brygshoppen web-shop. Off-white label with the name of beer and brewery in dark red. The tagline is 'Slightly smoked beer, for people brave of heart'. Pours opaque, murky maroon with a huge off-white head. Settles as 1,5 cm thick blanket of foam totally obscuring the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing. Aroma is intense with a sweet odor of malts mingling with smoky fumes. Caramel and toffee. Light fruity odor of plums. Peaty smoke. Hints of salty bacon. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, slightly greasy, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong salty, bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry. I will not say that this beer requires very much bravery to consume. It's a perfectly nice, fairly light Rauchbier. No need for ashtrays for this one.

HopsLove6 (390) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 30, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2021 Really nice fairly low abv smoked beer. Brewed using the famous smoked malts from Bamberg and the Munich caramel malts. Great mouthfeel. Looks great. Bitterness in the aftertaste. A quality beer. Easy to sip.

Syfher (1218) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JAN 19, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2021 Bottle of 33cl, in a Tulip glass; from the fridge. Brown coloured with a white head. The beer got nice aroma and taste of smoky/peated notes, but in a light, agreable tone, like german smoked beer. Will definitely drink again.

paulvb (318) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 20, 2020
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2020 Amber brown color. Decent head. The smell is quite unique, it has smoked sausage and liquorice and some distant red fruits. Hoppy, smokey taste. Liquorice and meat again. Some bread as well. Subtile citric sourness. The smokey hoppy notes stick in the aftertaste. Quite remarkable. Not an easy one - an ale to take your time for, but nice.

Moretum (866) - Vienna, AUSTRIA, AUSTRIA - JUN 7, 2020
