UPDATED: OCT 27, 2018 Bottle at last night's share. Classic wild ale notes on this one, typical De Garde format, which isn't a bad thing. Aroma brings the requisite tartness and a little fruity sweetness. Taste amps up the tartness a bit but it's still pretty silky smooth, another great one from de garde.

Due to artificial lighting, arbitrary rating for Appearance Flowery and fruity nose, lemon. Dry lemony flavour, very tart, lactic². Very carbonated, near fizzy. Long lasting acidic flavours. Again one that is actually too sharp and hence at the edge of unidimensionality. Txs to M & L V!

From notes (7/11/16). Bottle split with a friend who muled this down from Vermont. This was my first De Garde, and I was blown away. It’s extremely tart, but that sourness is balanced brilliantly by the complexity of the oak and the some great fruit flavors from the Brett. Really well executed.

750mL thanks to brainlair! Into teku glass. Low haze amber color with good foam dwindling down to a white ring of bubbles. Nose has candied mango, lemon zest, small rustic grain. Flavor is quite salty - big lemon citric character. Prickly carbonation, mild acetic acid/vinegar. Harsh acidity keeps piling on. Big disappointment after their epic Melange d’Hiver.

Bottle at Jason’s with friends. Pour is slightly murky orange with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Big green apples, pears, some lemon, light biscuit, bready, and tangy aroma. Taste is big tangy, lemon zest, orange, bready, pears and green apples with a big sour finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Not bad.
