RexTalionis (4220) - FINLAND - SEP 15, 2014Bottle. Golden color, off-white head. Summer meadow, floral notes and light herbal and garden fruityness in aroma. A bit on the sweet maltier side with bitter notes coming through in the finish.
Alengrin (9649) - Gent, BELGIUM - AUG 10, 2014Apparently made in honour of Carl Kins. And it turns out quite okay: creamy, not too thick, off-white head, warm orangey blonde colour, almost amber. Nose gets hazelnuts, peach, apple, dried orange peel, bread, nutmeg, grass, leather, pepper. Taste begins with a soft rounded fruitiness, refreshing citrus, mellow caramelly and nutty maltiness in the middle, finishing in a long, herbal and peppery hoppiness. Very well-balanced and tasteful beer, but I can’t help feeling that an inspiring and knowleadgable beer man like Carl deserves something a bit more ambitious...
mikske79 (1984) - Puerto Plata, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - AUG 7, 2014Normaal drink ik niet graag IPA- bier maar dit was een heel lekker biertje, een aanrader.
Christos (6109) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUN 21, 2014Stubby bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 6.5%. One year past its BB date.
Orange coloured, a bit hazy, good sized off-white head, thick, with good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass.
Aroma of yeast, funk, some peaches, even some wine notes, cork.
Taste follows, quite yeasty, peaches, a bit sweet and malty.
Medium thin body with good carbonation.
Overall okay, but even for a Belgian IPA nothing too impressive.
