Bottle. Cloudy orangey amber in colour. Fruity & spicy (orange-citrus, tropical fruits, pineapple). Hoppy (perfumy, floral hops). Malty (caramel). Sweet fruity. Very lively carbonation (gusher). Puzzled by the IPA designation. Very drinkable. Quite tasty. (2008)

Bottle. Golden color, off-white head. Summer meadow, floral notes and light herbal and garden fruityness in aroma. A bit on the sweet maltier side with bitter notes coming through in the finish.

Apparently made in honour of Carl Kins. And it turns out quite okay: creamy, not too thick, off-white head, warm orangey blonde colour, almost amber. Nose gets hazelnuts, peach, apple, dried orange peel, bread, nutmeg, grass, leather, pepper. Taste begins with a soft rounded fruitiness, refreshing citrus, mellow caramelly and nutty maltiness in the middle, finishing in a long, herbal and peppery hoppiness. Very well-balanced and tasteful beer, but I can’t help feeling that an inspiring and knowleadgable beer man like Carl deserves something a bit more ambitious...

Normaal drink ik niet graag IPA- bier maar dit was een heel lekker biertje, een aanrader.

Stubby bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 6.5%. One year past its BB date. Orange coloured, a bit hazy, good sized off-white head, thick, with good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, funk, some peaches, even some wine notes, cork. Taste follows, quite yeasty, peaches, a bit sweet and malty. Medium thin body with good carbonation. Overall okay, but even for a Belgian IPA nothing too impressive.

DJoer (1291) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 31, 2014
Medium white foamy head, orange golden copper colour, sweet citrus peaches fruity smell, champagne like a bit sour a bit grapefruit bitter medium to high carbonation medium bitter hoppy notes but pretty gentle for an IPA
