Nut brown colour, small off-white head. Caramalt dominates the flavour. Light-bodied - quite light for its ABV. Caramel, hints of berries, nuttyness, touch of alcohol. Simple.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2021 Flesje gedeeld door Benzai. Amberkleurig bier met grof schuim. Weinig aroma. Smaak is houtig en fruitig van donker fruit. Smaak ebt snel weg.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2021 Clear brown colour with thin head. The fruity element of the juniper can be detected in aroma and taste. Lots of dark malt too. Malt sweetness at first which grows into something close to mild coffee bitterness. Nice body. Well balanced.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2021 Bottle. Pours dark amber with thin head. Bit peated nose. Roasted malt. Tastes sweetish, peat, liquorice, bit dry mouthfeel, can't really feel juniper. Very nice though.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2021 Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, light roasty notes, liquorice in taste, juniper notes light sweet, medium bitter. Medium to full body, malty caramel bitter sweet finish. Good.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2021 Bottle. Amber pour. Aroma of caramelized malt, raisin, dates, caramel, subtle smoke and some yeast. Taste has caramelized malt, raisin, caramel, little vanilla, yeast, dates, subtle smoke and only very faint juniper and no licorice. Was hoping for more juniper, but I'm happy the licorice is not there. Not bad, but I was promised more.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2021 Clear, dark amber color and an off-white head. Nose is malty, boozy, raisins, caramel. Taste is malty, vanilla, herbal, licorice, caramel. Bitter hoppy, rather short, bitter finish.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2021 Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is sweet malt with caramel, some spicy notes from the juniper. Flavour is medium sweet and mild bitter. Body is medium. Fine sweet malt-forward beer.
