COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Taste indication: slightly spicy, caramel, warming De Guur & Kou is De Molen's answer to autumn and winter. The addition of juniper and liquorice gives this mouth-warming Scottish Ale a slightly spicy character with aromas of caramel and bay leaf. Perfect for the autumn and winter days.

Nut brown colour, small off-white head. Caramalt dominates the flavour. Light-bodied - quite light for its ABV. Caramel, hints of berries, nuttyness, touch of alcohol. Simple.

mike_77 (11723) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - DEC 4, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 4, 2021 Clear brown colour with thin head. The fruity element of the juniper can be detected in aroma and taste. Lots of dark malt too. Malt sweetness at first which grows into something close to mild coffee bitterness. Nice body. Well balanced.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2021 The base beer is quite good. The spice just doesn’t work, it’s like a black pepper spice, it doesn’t belong. Sterk ams

MarcoDL (8408) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 22, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2021 Bottle. Amber pour. Aroma of caramelized malt, raisin, dates, caramel, subtle smoke and some yeast. Taste has caramelized malt, raisin, caramel, little vanilla, yeast, dates, subtle smoke and only very faint juniper and no licorice. Was hoping for more juniper, but I'm happy the licorice is not there. Not bad, but I was promised more.
