UPDATED: JAN 25, 2021 A 330ml black waxed bottle, bottled on 2nd July 2013. Enjoy within 25 years. Poured into a snifter glass. It was black in colour with no head and no lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon, oak, vanilla, toffee, with a splash of licorice. Tastes of bourbon, dark fruit, light roast, chocolate, coffee, caramel, with slight vanilla notes. Velvety, medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall the barrel aging has improved the base beer, and the bourbon character really stands out, for the better. This was another great sipper, and De Molen H&V variant.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2020 Negra, sin espuma. En nariz asusta, whiskazo brutal! En boca relaja: hay bourbon, pero también chocolate, barrica. Muchos matices, compleja. Licorosa pero equilibrada. Birrote! Bottled 28/01/2013. BB 25 years.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2020 Drunk in 2018. Oak, honey, toffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, licorice, tobacco, pumpernikel. Flat carbonation, quite rough mouthfeel, no flavour depth. Merely decent.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2019 Aus der Flasche (11,0% ABV/bottled 02.07.2013) im 2019-06 getrunken. Dieses schwarz-rötliche, alte Hel & Verdoemenis hat kaum noch eine Schaumbildung und erinnert eher an von Konsistenz an Sherry. Die Aromen bilden nach dieses langen Flaschenlagerung ein komplexes schwer greifbares Aroma mit einer tolle Balance was einfach nur wunderbar ist. Hier hat die lange Flaschenreifung was richtig Tolles ins Glas gebracht.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2019 Bottle, 2013 vintage, 11 ABV. Black color witj a medium thin beige head. Smooth aroma of peat, licorice and roasted malt. Very sweet taste, long bitter finish. Flavors are licorice, vanilla peat and chocolate. Oily feel. Very good.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2018 Bottle 330ml at home. BBE 2038-01-28. Bottled 2013-01-28. From Bierkompass. Pours black, beige head. Roasted malts, licorice, dried fruits alcohol, faint whisky barrel . Full body, oily texture and average carbonation. This bottle was too old and not in good condition. Score 7-4-8-4-15. Original rating 9-4-9-4-16 from Bottle 330ml at De Molen 2013-03-21.

The beer has a perfect black colour showing you that she doesn't mess around. The foam has a satisfying brownish colour which reminds you of the ingridients. As you drink it engages with a strong bitter taste in the back of the mouth but leaves you with a sweet kiss of caramel flavor to remind you that she loves you. Totally recommened!

Bottle, courtesy of DerA. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma is bourbon barrel, booze, resin, raisin. Body is heavy and strong, with a counterbalancing acidity caramel, nuts, low carbonation. Lingering diabetes palate. Great beer, super drinkable.
