KevinReddirt (1138) - Midland, Texas, USA - FEB 11, 2020UPDATED: FEB 11, 2020 I am down to the last couple of beers sent to me by good friend Benzai last fall. So it is with pleasure that I have a 33 cl bottle of M & M (BBA) for sampling this evening. The standard version has been tasted before, one of my first with De Molen, and I liked it considerably. Can barrel aging make an improvement? My ABGB tulip glass from Austin is out for this one. The appearance is a dark mahogany brown finished with a the barest ring of light tan foam around the rim of the glass. An inspirational scent, I determine dark chocolate and some booziness. The taste tops the smell. Caramel, baking chocolate, dark plum, bourbon, sorghum molasses, what more can an imperial stout need. A high level brew indeed. Thanks Rene.

A dark beer with almost no carbonation and a heady, magnificent nose of bourbon, cocoa, and caramel. Wow! Now to the palate, and here it does not disappoint. Great sweet syrupy notes as on the nose, and maybe a bit of molasses as well. Lovely 😊 4.4
