UPDATED: SEP 30, 2021 Draft at Monks. Opaque black pour with a dense khaki head. Huge smoke. Mild fire. Smells like smoked meat. Charcoal briquettes. Peat. The heat starts small and certainly builds a bit but still much less so than with other hot pepper beers. The smoke is in control here. Fainter leather, tobacco, and licorice. Unexpected soft rounded glassy finish. Pretty extraordinary.

Whisky, smoky character, roast, light cereal, light prune, coffee notes, peppery notes more and more pronounced. Medium round sweet, medium fresh, light to medium bitter, quite warming, light warming increasing spicy. Good body, oily texture, soft gaseous, whisky light spicy lasting finish. Overall, great !
