COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s no secret, at DEBC, we’re fond of hops. Citrusy, piney, floral, and fruity hops are at least a third of this whole adventure. Hops may be the current ruler of the craft beer scene, and we, for one, welcome our resinous, spicy, bitter overlords. We’ve taken the IPA category to its Event Horizon, and pulled back just enough to see the edge. Get the big picture, it’s hoppy! Hops - Summit, Columbus, Apollo, Liberty, and more! Malts - Pale ale, Vienna, Honey (NB previous versions contained rye) Yeast - English Ale Other - Raw cane sugar

Theydon_Bois (33079) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 12, 2020
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2020 Can at home, from Beerdome, 12/11/20. Looks like canned in May so 6 months not ideal age wise ... the oldest of the hoppy beers I picked up but at least a big old skool DIPA which should hopefully take the ageing a little better than others! Very light haze on a golden amber pour topped with a big old egg shell white head that stays for the show. Nose is orange peel, caramel malts, grass, honey, toasted grains, light pine needle. Taste comprises sweet malts, pine needle, light bubblegum, caramel, grapefruit, lick of alcohol, a little chewy. Medium bodied with a little bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced hop bitterness and a rising boost. Decent enough Old Skool leaning DIPA ... a reminder of mid to late noughties US staples!

Can. Almost clear deepish gold beer, good bubbly cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Thinnish malts but reasonably sweet, plenty of rye tang. Light and ripe orangey hops, fair helping of orange peel with a pinch of pine. Quite an eatery thing going on here, a dominant bubblegum thing running throughout and it's putting me off big time. Light finish. Nope, really don't want to drink this, just do not want esters in my IPAs or DIPAs.

jandd1983 (6872) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - OCT 11, 2018
On tap at the brewery. It poured a cloudy golden color with a white head. The aroma was of caramel, pine, hops and citrus. The taste was similar to the aroma with more caramel, pine, hops, grass, citrus with medium carbonation and a nice bittersweet aftertaste. Good stuff.
