COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Every year, we celebrate our anniversary with an imperial, barrel-aged version of our flagship Black Butte Porter. Our brewers love to experiment and they always add some fun new ingredients to this beer like chilies, cranberries, figs and other such treats. This year, to celebrate 28 years of brewing, they’ve added the interesting mix of ingredients above for another multi-layered flavor experience.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2020 Black pour with a foamy light khaki head. Interesting nose of molasses and dark roast malt, with a kiss of bourbon, cranberry, dark chocolate, and burnt caramel. Rich dark flavor that’s roasty and semisweet with dark bittersweet chocolate, woody bourbon, caramel, fig, cranberry, spice, and a little molasses. Rich and layered and complex.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2020 Crowler fill from Growler Guys CDA, which won't populate in the drop down menu below even though it's in the database. Aroma is wood, booze, dark fruit, sherry, raisin, dark bread, molasses, soy sauce, toasted marshmallow, licorice, dark chocolate, coffee, leather, pouch tobacco. Pours black as the abyss with a thick tan head with excellent retention. Taste is moderately sweet, boozy, finishing with a moderate herbal hop bitterness; flavors like the aroma. Velvety perfect mouthfeel. A nice sipper that's aged pretty well.
