Beese (12774) - Tooting, London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 8, 2020UPDATED: SEP 8, 2020 Keg at Deschutes Brewery & Public House, Portland, OR on 29/09/2010. Aroma of grapefruit and fresh spruce. Nice and crisp body. Good clean bitterness.
DrnkMcDermott (3730) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - APR 25, 2020UPDATED: APR 25, 2020 12 oz bottle from Prestige Liquor, dated… oh, my: 'Best by 12/26/16.' So that's why a single was 49¢.
Let's just try to keep this in perspective. This pours pretty regularly, a slightly hazy brassy color under a foamy head. Smell is mostly hop bitterness. Any impressions from fresh northwestern hops would have dissipated, but what's left behind is still pretty hoppy.
Taste is stuck on basic hop bitterness. The malt shows a very faint note of phenol, so that's what's been most affected by a long sit on the shelf. Still, a good version of an APA. Just need to get a chance at one that's fresher.
RobertDale (10041) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JAN 17, 201812 ounce bottle. Pours a mostly clear golden orange with a decent off-white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Taste is grapefruit, tropical, pine, and malt. Nice APA.
Foffern (2838) - Bodø, NORWAY - DEC 25, 2017On tap at Belmont Station, Portland, Oregon. Pours a clear dark amber colour and a small light beige head. Aroma of herbs, caramel, flowers, tropical fruits and some diacetyl. Flavour of grapefruit, pine, grass, sweet biscuits and some diacetyl. Dry ending. Has a slick mouthfeel, medium body and a medium bitterness. A well hopped APA. Too bad with the diacetyl that disturbs my experience.
GenDV138 (9211) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - DEC 9, 2017Draft sample at Dominion Wine & Beer. Clear golden amber with beige head. Aromas of malt and citrus. Tastes of malt, citrus, floral notes, biscuit. Medium body with a dry finish.

AirForceHops (12438) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 29, 201716 oz. pint at Whole Foods Clybourn, Chicago. Almost clear in color gold. Slightly sweet, mild floral / pine bitterness. Weak citrus. This is well made but standard issue. A classic West Coast influenced APA.
Mr.Spooks (4080) - Tennessee, USA - NOV 22, 2017Pretty good pale ale, more malt-forward than expected, a moderate base of caramel and toasted bread providing ample padding for the crisp, woody hops. Notes of pine and earth mix with pencil shavings, slight lemon, and a hint of dankness. Mild finish leaves something to be desired. Pours a healthy orange-gold with a thin white head and decent lacing. Underwhelming nose gives off more bread and caramel than hop. Good brisk, perky texture. Not a bad pint, but nothing to write home about.
