Well integrated alcohol. Good.

Mellow malty and resinous, piney, fruity hoppy aroma, notes of toffee, caramel, orange, mandarine, hints of orange zest, almond, marzipan, dried fruit, raisin, fig, a touch of cinnamon. Taste is sweet-ish malty, hints of almond, marzipan, toffee, caramel, a touch of cinnamon, bitter hoppy counterweight with hints of orange zest, mandarine, pine, some dried fruit as well, raisin, fig, date; lingering, sweet, minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate.

Pours a chocolate/copper with tan head mostly diminishing and good lacing. The taste is a medium bitter. The body is medium/full, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long. Very good strong ale for 4 years, maybe a touch light in the body, the alcohol is hidden very well.

zoucrew102 (4959) - - JUN 4, 2018Bomber, 2015 vintage. Sweet caramel malt aroma with notes of raisin, fig, dates and herbal hops. Pours cloudy, dark caramel with a thin tan head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with sticky sweet caramel and the above mentioned dark fruit flavors. Finishes dry but quite smooth with more dark fruit sweetness as well as some herbal hops and a little bit of oak. Pretty nice winter warmer, even at the beginning of June.
