On tap at Dieu du Ciel. The color is a hazy amber with a thick head. This beer lands a real puch. The aroma is sweet and hoppy. The taste is of hops, malt, sweet candy, caramael and the 8% alcohol is very present. The aftertaste leaves a bitter taste of berries mixed with the hops. Nice finish.

Tap at Dieu Du Ciel - 03/03/12. (labelled as ’India Cream Ale Imperial’) Pours a hazy amber colour with a decent near white head. Sweet sugars, candy floss, fruit on the nose. Sweet caramel flavour with background hops, a little desert style fruit in the mix. Medium to full in body, very creamy feel and finish. Not really my bag!

In short: A heavy and very resignous/bitter cream ale. Good
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy dark amber body topped by a medium beige head with good retention
In long: Nose is moderately hoppy with resinous citrusy hops. The attack has a lot of sweetness and with the creamy fluffy mouthfeel you start with a crème caramel taste. Then the potent resinous bitterness take over with also a condensed citrus fruits juice flavor. The bitterness is of medium-high intensity and this makes it one of the most bitter nitro beer I’ve ever had. Nothing aggressive, everything is smooth and with no sharp edges. However I thought the beer was a bit heavy with a big thick doughy mouthfeel. I love the beer so much at Dieu Du Ciel that I can’t stop at just one, and I end up spending half my evening going from my table to the bathroom, oh man, I’d give a kidney to have more control on my bladder.

Dark amber-copper color, with a creamy thick white head, light floral fruity, zesty lemon rind english hop nose with some faint earthy toasted, caramel malt notes, with a subtle toffee accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a smooth flowery earthy leafy, grassy, zesty citrusy hop character, with some lemon, grapefruit rind, faint lemon pie flavors, with a fruity toasty, caramel maltiness undertone, leading towards a mild zesty lemon, lime, leafy, grassy hop bittering finish.

Note: 6/10

A hazed dark amber ale with a thin creamy lacing Nitro mocha head. In aroma, a smooth grassy floral hops, with caramel malt and butterscotch. In mouth, an oily sweet nutty caramel with lingering metallic hops, butterscotch, and strawberry notes, a bit cloying. On tap at brewpub, Feb. 24 2012.

Tap, nitro charged. Moderate malt and hop notes of roasted, caramel and cooked orange, light dough for the yeast, with hints of date, peach and dark honey. Head is average size, but full and cascading, creamy, off-white with excellent lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy orange/red. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately bittersweet. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, creamy, with an almost flat carbonation and a lightly alcoholic, sticky/chewy and drying finish. This American Strong Ale is enjoyable on so many levels, the texture, the aroma, the flavor and just the sight of it. It screams "Drink me!"
