UPDATED: DEC 4, 2019 Bottled 11/16. Almost black with a fat coat of tan head that fades to the rim after a time. Aroma of mocha, caramel, char. Perhaps some blackberries and tobacco. The coffee has faded a bit from this and the chocolate note predominate. They are great. Some minor fruity notes, vanilla, a dry roastiness at the end. I like the normal version of this with a little age on it so I don't know whether this special version is nicer or not.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2019 Caña en el lúpulo feroz Oviedo 29..03..2019. Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro que desaparece al poco tiempo casi por completo. Sabores intensos maltosos tostados con una dosis bien grande de sabores alicorados de bourbon que lo inundan todo por completo. Cacaos y algo de café. Cuerpo intenso con buena sensación alcohólica desde el principio y bastante sabor, sobretodo alicorados de bourbon. Densidad media. Tomada junto con la peche mortelle bourbon y la diferencia es mínima. Tal vez esta es menos alicorada. Bastante buena, para repetir sin duda alguna, para amantes del bourbon perfecta.

Poured from bottle 11/18/16 thanks Brian light dark black with a thin mocha head. Aroma is roasted coffee chocolate malts. Taste is roasted coffee grains chocolate malt. Very nice with a lingering bitter finish.

Draught Small cream-coloured head over black beer. Pure roasted coffee, citrussy, sweet, vanilla, but not very Bourbon-like. Alcohol, fusels. Sweet, Bourbon, vanilla, molasses, maltsyrup, lots of coffee. Sharp roasted-bitter finish. Very well-bodied, burning MF, good carbonation. Sharp-raw; but good indeed. 7/4/7/4/15

Pours Black with a brown head. Aroma of bright roasted, dark sweet malts, chocolate, vanilla and dates. Taste of coffee, roasted malts, Cocoa and slight vanilla.

Bottle @ Forstadsbryggeshare. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aromas of sweet coffee, peppery notes, light roast, sweet malts, dark fruits, light hoppy. Taste has roasted malts, lightly hoppy, bready, coffee, peppery finish.

Piana: Taka sobie, nie najgorsza, ale do ideału tez brakuje. Ma beżowy kolor i drobną budowę. W średnim tempie redukuje się do chmurki. Niezły lacing.
Zapach: W aromacie zdecydowanie kawa, ale o niskim stopniu paloności. Słodki charakter z nutami wanilii i owocowym tłem. Tuż za nią ustawiają się w szeregi tabliczki mlecznej czekolady, karmel i odrobina ciemnego pieczywa. Po przelaniu do szkła nuty jeżyn, czarnych porzeczek i wiśni. Piękny profil.
Smak: W smaku kawa i czekolada odgrywają dominujące rolę. Kawa słodziutka Mocha z wysoką kremową pianką. Dużo nut wanilii, nawet leciutki kokos, karmel i odrobina toffi. W tle owocowe niuanse - jeżyny, wiśnie. Umiarkowane nuty palone w związku z tym bardzo przyjemny i przyjazny finisz. Zero kwaskowatych posmaków. Zwarta tekstura i brak alkoholowych detali. Bardzo pijalne, kremowe i gładkie.
Wysycenie: Niskie.
Podsumowanie:
Pyszniutka wersja standardowego Péché Mortel. Słodki waniliowy, zaledwie lekko-palony profil. Dominacja kawy i mlecznej czekolady. Sporo nut ciemnych owoców. Gładkie i jedwabiste odczucie w ustach. Pychota!

12oz bottle, 2016 vintage pours an opaque black with some cloudy, sticky tan head. Nose has nice dank coffee, marzipan, toffee chews, chocolate covered raisin. Flavor has malt, toffee, chocolate covered raisin, nice dank coffee, some pencil lead. Finishes dry and roasty.
