UPDATED: SEP 24, 2020 341ml bottle @ home. Pours a copper brown colour with a small white head. Nose is bready grains, earthy notes, and peppercorns. Flavour is initially sweet malt followed by an ample peppercorn character. Medium bodied, ok carbonation, and a mild sweetness with a fairly potent pepper character.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2020 Color marrón claro, rojizo, sin turbiedad, transparente. Espuma marfil de apenas medio dedo de espesor y retención efímera. Aroma escaso a cereal ligeramente tostado, centeno y notas de caramelo balsámico. Sabor bastante más intenso a centeno y maltas tostadas, notas de regaliz, final medio corto fundamentalmente maltoso, dulce y ligeramente amargo, posgusto, ahora sí, por fin, intenso y largo, picante, pleno, cercano al wasabi, alcohol imperceptible. Textura acuosa. Carbonatación media baja. Nada destacable hasta el posgusto donde aparecen las pimientas, intensas y agradables. Aunque la puntuación sea relativamente baja, recomiendo probarla.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2020 Bottle at The Situation, served in a trappist glass. Red colour, no head, small lacing. Aroma of caramel, rye, dried fruits, ginger, hints of chocolate and spices. Medium body, creamy texture, normal carbonation. Spicy finish. Taste of pepper, caramel, fruits, spices and hints of chocolate. Good.

Nez : Superbe bouquet poivré et céréale très agréable (Seigle ?)(Si servi très fraîche : Malt caramel / Note chocolat en réchauffant)
Bouche : Attaque malt, céréale ,touche caramel et poivre. En seconde bouche le poivre se développe offrant un joli piquant et une ample saveur de poivre, ponctuée par une touche chocolatée. Longue persistance poivrée, piquante et malt chocolat savoureuse.
Avis : Superbe réussite, une expérience de saveurs sans défaut, pour les curieux ou amateurs du genre.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2019 Belle rousse avec une mousse persistante. Au nez les épices sont bien présentent en bouche c'est le côté poivré qui prend le déçu.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2019 Acheté au marché Dessaules à St-Hyacinthe. La bière est d’une belle couleur rousse assez transparente. Elle produit une légère mousse beige plutôt persistante. Au nez, sa sent le poivre et les épices. Au goût, c’est légèrement sucré et plutôt amer. C’est la finale qui est impressionnante. C’est comme une explosion d’épice qui laisse une sensation de brûlure comme si on venait de goûté à un plat épicé. Très goûteuse et très surprenante !! A essayé sans hésiter

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2019 Bottle from Whole Foods Market in San Jose, CA. Aroma is malty bread, mild chai / black tea, some caramel, pepper. Taste is spiced tea, dark bread, and then dry spicy peppercorn. Great alternative to many pumpkin / autumn beers out there.
