COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the style of the original pilsner beers of Bohemia. We use an enormous amount of Czech Saaz hops and pilsner malts to produce its bright golden color and soft, nutty malt flavor. The balance is clean and crisp with a gentle hop nose and a long, dry finish.

New recipe since early 2016.

Sweet nutty smell, golden hough. Taste vanilla and walnuts, slight hop and almost no aftertaste. Very easy to drink but delightfully unique for a pilsner.

Czech hops, citrus zest, spice and grass. Fairly hoppy with mild bite that’s countered by the citrus and wheat. Not bad.

DATE: October 22, 2016... OCCASION: Penn State-Ohio State Prime Time White Out... GLASSWARE: Ommegang 125th Anniversary pokal... clear, moderately effervescent golden body... a snow-white, half-finger filmy head that occupies the top consistently... sharp-as-cheddar hops elicit a pungent punch... fragrant, almost like perfume, floral, spicy and slightly toasted in its malts... first sip proves to be a winner, with a balanced mouth feel at the teeth, tongue and throat... medium-bodied, but quite drinkable... active and engaging... the flavor profile is spicy, bready, sweet and refreshing... a late graininess reminds of its Eastern European roots... this one eluded me for some time, having first sampled it over a decade ago... the payoff is a solid one, with a tasty alternative to a blander light lager....

A friend brought this over. Generally not my chosen style but this is pretty good. Crisp and clean with a nice sweetness. Good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
