COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Johnny Cask has entered the building! We’ve retrofitted a 15 barrel tank to perfectly produce a very special cask conditioned ale (so, we have a little time to play around during winters at the Delaware coast). This beer, known as Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA is a blend of 60 and 90 Minute IPAs with a special whole leaf cascade dry-hopping session. Post-hopping the beer gest transferred into firkins and dosed with fresh yeast and maple syrup from the ole family homestead (actually the first batch will be re-fermented with maple syrup from the farm up the road from ours since ours won’t be ready until late March.

Only the ratings for bottles and single-cask pours of this should be rated. The 50/50 blends of 60 and 90 where they come from different taps are not rateable, and do not belong here.

Cavie (5952) - Arlington, Texas, USA - AUG 22, 2020
UPDATED: AUG 22, 2020 Had this in 2011 but somehow my rating got deleted so here we go again. Bottle. Dark copper color. Fairly clear. Aroma is hoppy but not overbearing. Some piney notes. Nice malty character. Decently balanced; a good drink. Fresh, herbal. Moderate mouthfeel. Solid.

3.5
Hiero (256) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 1, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2020 Orange/Brown cloudy beer with a nice, thick off-white head. Flavors are slightly muted, but nice, as opposed to many 'put hair on the chest' pine tar offerings. Dry, clean finish with a light hint of bitterness. It has a slightly sweet character, not sure if I'd describe it as maple syrup. This almost might pass for a New England IPA. This is solid, but not mind-blowing.

ttutony (1225) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 18, 2020
UPDATED: APR 18, 2020 Golden with a white head. Tropical fruit aroma. Flavors follow similarly on the palate with an addition of a bit of pine too. Moderate bitterness that persists for a bit on the finish. Nice brew

jhsnitz1 (1210) - Pendleton, South Carolina, USA - APR 17, 2020
UPDATED: APR 17, 2020 Floral hop aroma. Taste is floral hop bitterness with a nice malt sweetness underneath. Different than typical American IPA, a different hop aroma and flavor than most. Consistent with other Dogfish Head IPAs.

Carlisle (1406) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 29, 2020
Bottle. Pours somewhat cloudy copper with off-white head and lacing. Earthy and resiny grapefruit and pine aroma. Earthy hops five way quickly to mango and grapefruit with some dankness following. More mango in the long, drying finish. Medium body.

4.1
Cakes (695) - New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 19, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2020 Twelve ounce bottle. On very serious and refined beer. The type that you would offer to a serious, sophisticated beer drinking European visitor. Dark gold fine lacing but a heavy head that stays. Very nice nose, subtle not to heavy. Very nice taste, old school.

Susie33 (1907) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JAN 26, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2020 Dark orange gold pour. Thick foam nice orange zest with hop flavor. Sweet palate.

OsuStu (495) - - JAN 13, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2020 12 oz bottle. Hazy amber with a medium soapy white head. Botanical aromas with citrus, flowers, pine sap, apricot and toasted sugars. Hoppy but balanced well with lighter sugary malts. Juicy and effervescent. Citrus juice and peel, spices, and lightly bitter finish. Very nice to drink.

grundsow (207) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2019 Smo-ooh-ooth hop pleasure cascades over the tongue, and lingers on the palate. Nothing malty nor maple about it, just a fantastic beer!

3.2
ozzy70 (3090) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 30, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2019 Sample from bottle at Holiday Beer Fest. Poured copper/amber, white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, caramel, malts. Taste was medium bittersweet, citrus, pine, sweet caramel malts, bitter finish.
