COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English-style Best Bitter inspired by the bitter legacy of British Punk Rock. This RSD Exclusive is brewed from pale ale malt, crystal malt, and Kent Goldings hops flavored with a special blend of bitter aromatics and botanicals.
UPDATED: JUL 6, 2021 16 ounce can from Dogfish Head EmPOURium in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Bright amber orange color. Small creamy beige head. Toasted malt aroma hints at juniper and rosemary. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor has notes of juniper, coriander, lemon peel and cardamom. Earthy malt notes as well. Lightly carbonated as is customary for English Bitter Ales. Some dryish, piney notes in bitter finish.
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2021 12 June 2021, tap at Chesapeake & Maine. Like amber, clear, no bubbles. Nose is all aromatics and botanicals. My first thought was a cross between beer and gin. Botanicals have a slight Christmas aroma. Thin/med body and mildly fizzy. Slightly sweet, lots of dried bread malt, I can’t place the aromatic but I’m not a huge fan.
