Jabah (2479) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - APR 24, 2018I like Chai, so been wanting to try this for a while. Finally decided to pony up the $$$ for this. An interesting brew. Growing on me a little as I finish the 2nd half of the bottle the next night. Tasting the Chai and other spices more towards the bottom. Has a bit of a Belgian feel to it, with the Juniper/fruity taste and hop background. A bit of a minty aftertaste/feel. The 9% ABV is hidden quite well. Don't think I would get again though unless I was sharing with a buddy or two.
05barnold (52) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2017Drank from Sam's stash while on the grain to glass tour at the brewery in DE. Clean, refreshing beer that was aged 5 years. Hint of black tea at the end. Very drinkable.

Bitterbill (2959) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - MAY 21, 2017Bottle courtesy of TATTORSO. Thanks Jeff!
A light hazy orange golden colour, it gives about an inch of foam and has some nice sticky lacing.
Ok, the smell really is different. I’m getting some spice like cinnamon and nutmeg, grain and what must be the Chai that they speak of, juniper...weird smelling and I’m not sure how to react. If this nose is to the style, I can’t knock it. Actually, the more whiffs I take, the more it grows on me.
The taste is honey sweet with a graininess, chai(?), strong spiciness(see smell), some banana flavour....as weird a taste as the smell.
Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Plenty of warming is now sneaking up on me.
Drinkability? I’m totally mixed in my feelings about the smell and taste but one thing is clear to me. This is a unique brew and in its uniqueness, I can’t see myself having this one again but I thank Jeff for giving me a chance to try it.
Thechasm442 (1006) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 18, 20162014 bottle. Murky orange with an average off white head that shrinks quickly. Aroma is black tea, honey, juniper, spruce, and mixed herbs. Taste is full of tea, with juniper, grains, and herbs. Floral and dry on the finish with an average thickness.
PhillyCraft (11988) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2016Multiple bottles in 2010, Shared this one with Pat, pours hazy orange with a thicker sized foam. Smell and taste are lemon lime juniper, cinnamon, german malt, cardamom, all spice, and other dark earthy notes. Probably over spiced even for the ingredients but Ive always liked Indian profiles especially Hashish.
oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 8, 2016Pours a clear amber color. Aromas of pine/malts and a touch of citrus/berries. Flavor is a little different. I thought it would be more pine tasting. A little berry flavor and some hop bitterness near the end.
Niko100 (3207) - New York City, New York, USA - DEC 8, 2015Hazy golden color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of malt/wheat, yeast, juniper, coriander, & citrus; Flavor of sweet malt/wheat, coriander, caramel, citrus, some honey, and spice; Nice herbal tea qualities - interesting brew.
csaso (2372) - Missouri, USA - DEC 2, 2015Bottle - good size foamy head, hazy burnt orange color with lots of "floaties" (maybe bad poor?), big fruity/berry aroma and flavor, moderate spice (from the tea I guess), a little different but in a good way overall

milewide (2648) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 2, 2015Clear Amber color. $12.99/750ml is pricey versus alternatives in this market. Just not true to original style.
