From Aug 2007 I got this in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks, John! It pours from 12oz bottle a clear gold with a good head of foam that shrinks to a fine broken layer by the end of my session. The smell is rather delicate. I get a bit of floral hops but that's about it. The taste has some good malty graininess up front with a touch of bitterness that moves in about midway through and that's, pretty much, the highlight of this APA. I won't mention the "D" word but yeah, it gets overpowering for my taste buds and I'm having a rather tough time drinking this brew. In fact, I can't finish my glass. Dogfish Head makes some great brews so my not liking this one is neither here or there, if you catch my drift. ;^)

Bottle from Old Town. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Grassy hops with some faint citrus and light grain notes. Clean and crisp on the palate with a balanced, albeit slightly dry finish.

Tap at Dogfish Head, Milton. Colour is cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, some spices, hops and malts. Spicy apa.

on tap @ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Aroma of citrus and malt. Slightly hazy light-medium amber, white head that drops to a full cover, curtain of lace. Taste is malt with a heavy-handed bitter citrus in medium fizz, then all fades quickly in a short finish. Too much bitter. Poor balance, uneven performance.

PhillyCraft (11988) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2016
Bottle in 2011, clear or lightly hazy gold color with average sized head. Lacing wasn’t much. Notes of lager skunk, toast, toasted hop, and grain. Nothing going on with this beer.

Draft pour. Clear copper with a big head of white foam. The aroma has grassy and herbal notes. Dry herbal notes in the taste. Medium body and medium carbonation.

DFH really bringing the heat to OBF. No insult intended but come on man! Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A nice toast, caramel and citrus nose. The flavor is more of the same, lemons, oranges, some toast earthy malt. Solid pale.

Bottled. Fondly remembered from back in the mid. 2000s when I thought 60 minute IPA was a really hoppy beer. Good times.

Sekemoto (20) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - APR 15, 2015
Pours a cloudy sparkling amber with an average size frothy tan head. Looks really good. Aroma of sweet malt and floral hops. Flavour of malt, hops and citrus isn’t hoppy enough -- in fact as it gets warmer it gets sweeter. Light bitter finish.
