COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This wet-hopped IPA can only be brewed once a year when, in the midst of the hop harvest, fresh Centennial hops are spirited from Sartori Cedar Ranch near Chilliwack to our Brew Kettle in Victoria. Sartori’s fresh hops have a delicious profile unique to the patch of land they cultivate in the Columbia Valley making this limited release singular and remarkable.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2021 Bottle from Cascadia, View Royal. Caramel pine aroma. Malty resin pine pineapple taste, great sweet and bitter balance. Great west coast IPA.

On tap at Darby’s Gastown in Vancouver. A darker amber beer with white head and a faint malted nose. Aromatic spices, herbal, vegetal notes. A definite hop note and plenty of malt. A lingering aftertaste of all the foregoing. Not a pumpkin beer, but a perfect fall beer. 3.9

650ml bottle @ the office. 2017 Vintage. Nose is sweet pine, grapefruit, with a sweet fruit... maybe peach. Flavour has light sweetness, somewhat malty, and a decent semi floral, pineapple, resinous hop finishing bitter character.

Daaamn what a beer. Pour is a caramelized orange colour with a sticky, bright white head that pours thick and puffy and then fizzles down slowly. The nose is bright, pine, resin, pineapple is heavy, grapefruit is subtle. Mild malt base with a touch of toasted caramel and bread notes. Mild bitterness on the finish but an aftertaste of pine subsists. Pineapple is huge on this beer with a big zesty, pine needle and fruit forward profile. This is one of the best IPA's I've had.

Bottle at Xmas 2016 gathering. Pours light orange some head and lacing. Notes of pine, grapefruit, elastic bands, maybe some peach. Medium bitter, light sweet. Fully creamy body, some sticky, lively carbonation.

Suuuuper dank. Concrete, pine and resin flavored coming out first. Thick mouthfeel and overall well balanced. Nice one.

Dank and bitter. Both overwhelm anything else that may be happening with this beer.

Pineapple and potpourri. Lots of pine. Big on smell. Good malt backbone. Orange pour with decent head and lacing. Bottle thanks to my mom, who brought this from Victoria.

Visual: Wicked artwork on the label. Pours clear light golden orange without much of a head, thin ringed retention with a medium island, glossy hop oils on the surface, slow singular sporadic streams.

Nose: green & orange-citrus sweet dank weed, whiffed a foot away from the pour. (lvl-10)-intensity

Attack: crisp, micro fizzy-smooth mouthfeel

Mid-palate: fragrant-bright, fleshy green dank weed hop oils, peach-apricot, lemony citrus, more soft tingly-fizzy, (lvl-4-sweetness), rounded resiny, toffee toasted barley malt

Finish: long resiny-grassy bitter hops, off-dry

Summary: What impressed me was the immediate bursting aromatic floral-dank-citrus hop oils that escape the bottle and head straight into your nose as soon as you start the pour. Very bright and rounded centennial hop oils throughout with a solid barley malt base. It could be slightly creamier/fuller, but exceptional as it is.

15-Oct-2016. Bottle 650ml from Denman liquor store. Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is herbal with... canabis (shock!) notes.

Taste is very fresh with piney hops and herbal notes. Piney hops aftertaste. Good.
