Thanks Nate. Bottle to snifter, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that held and then slid off at a semi-slow pace. Not much lace, somewhat stringy, but sliding. The aroma had some sweet caramel/toffee malts, roasted dark malts, espresso roasty and sweet contours, some nuts, light toast, biscuits, sweet wood, smooth earthiness, milk chocolate and ended with a little bit of coffee creamer. The flavor did a pretty good job of blending all of the prior mentioned aromas to slide together on into the aftertaste and follow through into the finish. The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps a touch under with a fair sipping sort of quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good. Pretty smooth along my tongue. Overall, pretty good imperial stout that packs in all of what one is looking for in the style.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Black brown pour with only a thin ring of tan bubbles. Dark caramel malts. Nice roasty flavor. Slight glossy edge. Chocolate liquor. Burnt macadamia nuts. Espresso. Plums and prunes. Blackberries. Leather jacket. Cigarettes. Nicely full. Bit sugary but has a good complex palate.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with medium creamy beige head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is chocolate, raisin, and toffee. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet roasted malt and dark chocolate. Decent.

Appearance: Pitch black body with a thin tan head.
Aroma: Very heavy on fig and dark chocolate.
Taste: Strong fig with dark chocolate, too much fig.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Way too much fig, not enough roast, didn’t even want to finish my sample.

Draft. Pours very dark brown with a thick tan head. Tastes sweet, syrupy, chocolatey, mellow. Almost no hop character. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like chocolate and malt.

2010 Vintage Bottle, Purchased 30 July 2011, Sampled 15 February 2013 Deep pitch black coloured head with a thin, fast-dying light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, anise, fennel, nuts, caramel, vanilla, oak and a bit of prunes. Full-bodied; Strong roasty malt flavour with some coffee, nuts, caramel and a lot of anise and licorice flavours. Aftertaste shows some alcohol burn, a hint of peat and smoked flavours with a prolonged caramelised sugar flavour and a bit more alcohol. Overall, a strong and roasty beer with some good imperial stout flavours, but perhaps a bit too much alcohol burn and not enough complexity - especially after three years. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 30-July-2011 for US$9.00 sampled at home in Washington on 15-February-2013.
