Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 25, 2014In short: A highly drinkable glass of wet grass.
How: Tap directly at the brewery.
The look: Partly cloudy orange-amber body topped by an off - white ring of foam.
In long: Nose has the nice freshly squeezed grass juice I like to get from a nice harvest ale (as opposed to the annoying vegie-lettuce of other lame harvest ale). Pleasant typical mouthfeel with medium body and medium carbonation. Satisfying taste. A solid malt backbone with medium-toasted crisp cereals. A sweetness reminiscent of candied fruits. A clean finish with a short bitterness of medium intensity. Rating various harvest ales can become monotonous so now I try to inoculate a new word into my ratings even when I don’t know how to use them properly.
czar (13375) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 27, 2013on tap at bateau de nuit, qc. unclear golden orange pour with a small white cap showing some retention and lacing. spicy and citrusy, fresh lightly toasted cereals, touch of caramel and butter, grass, fruitiness - apricots and strawberries, pepper. moderate carbonation, light body - oily, almost silky, short yet sharp grassy-citrusy-spicy-herbal finish. balanced. quaffable. nice harvest without usual turnoffs..
tom10101 (6528) - Quebec, CANADA - NOV 22, 2013On tap @ L’Hermite (Victoriaville). Slightly hazy golden with a low/medium white head, good retention and some lacing. Aroma is of fresh harvested cereals, hops, light fruits and hints of spices. Taste is fruity and mineral with fresh cereals, light sweetness and hints of spices. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. One of my favorite Harvest Ale to date. Drinkable.
Lubiere (19735) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 2, 2013A golden amber ale with a thin off creamy white head. In mouth, a nice sweet butterscotch malt with light oily mouth feel, grassy floral hops, resinous resinous, OK. On tap at vices et versa.
Ernesto987 (6082) - Arizona, USA - OCT 31, 2013draft. YUM. Forgot how much hop flavors rock without having to be big messes. This is pretty awesome.
Carbonation faible, corps moyen.
