bhensonb (20185) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 15, 2021UPDATED: SEP 15, 2021 Waxed, capped bomber from Tavour - the 2018 vintage. Pours hazy dark amber/brown with a nice creamy beige hed. Aroma is floral/fruit over malt that's sort of light toffee. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is very East Kent Goldings - with some brown sugar. Not dry, tho far from sticky. Moderately bittter. Extremely delicious.
Nische (3994) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 14, 2021UPDATED: SEP 14, 2021 2009 bottle. Dark amber with white head. Quite a bit of raisin, tobacco, butterscotch going on. Slightly oxidized but very good given the age!
Thisis12ptfont (2663) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - SEP 8, 2021UPDATED: SEP 8, 2021 Aromas of harsh hops resin hop oils grass barley grain malts molasses cough syrup vanilla butterscotch and creme brulee. Taste is intensely bitter hops hop oils resin grass hay butterscotch vanilla molasses creme brule toasted almonds cough syrup booze sugared caramel and biscotti. Overall, not sure which year this is, it's a dark blue wax top. It's really good, the bitter hops still hold up really strong. The malt profile is also top notch. Nice n' balanced.

Full aroma of raisins, caramel, tobacco and leather. Taste is malty and sweet, booze pops out right away, dead leaves, tobacco, brown sugar. Rich, full, heavy. A pleasure to sip on.
Nocturne (3313) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2020UPDATED: DEC 31, 2020 2014 bottle. Dark reddish. Good head. Aroma full of dark fruits, leather, oranges, wood, chocolate. Tastes very similar. Maybe not quite as sweet as I would like, but still pretty much everything you’d want from a barley wine.
Tide (8501) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 23, 2020UPDATED: MAY 23, 2020 Bottle from a friend. Hazy amber color, beige head. Bitter taste with toffee, raisins, hops, resin, pine and nuts. Bitter finish with raisins, dried fruits, pine, resin, nuts and caramel. Excellent barley wine.

Aroma of sweet toffee, caramel, and molasses. Smooth with a bold bitter sweet toffee flavor. Not too boozy but there is some alcohol warmth. Finishes with a slightly dry feel and a lingering light bitter aftertaste. Pretty enjoyable.
