UPDATED: JUL 1, 2021 Pours a wonderful deep amber golden brown from a bottle. Rich apple, oak and vanilla aroma, that mixture of brown sugar and melted butter when baking. Similar flavor, very sweet with a bright tartness. Great cider.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2020 Bottle @ Home. Rich golden amber colored cider. Strong aroma of brandy and oak at the front end that gives way to brown sugar, apple pie, and vanilla. Ends up being a little bit more sweet than your typical ice cider (yes, hard to do, I know). Has a subtle spiciness of oak to the flavor. Plenty of rich, cooked apple and pear. Hints of cinnamon sugar, lemon zest, and pie filling. Not quite the acidity that I really enjoy with my favorite ice ciders, but the barrel and spirit do add an interesting dimension.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2018 375ml bottle from Scrattings. 10%. Batch #2014HB101. Amber colour, afew bubbles on top and concentrated apple pie aroma. Taste is sweet, apple, apple pie, caramel, vanilla, woody oaky barrel, dried fruits, with some drying tannin. Syrupy mothfeel, medium to full bodied, low carbonation, dry & sweet finish. Very sippable.

Bottle pour, picked up at The Garden Path, Burlington. Perhaps my first taste of an American Ice Cider? First barrel aged Ice Cider as well? If so, it's a good start. Shiny copper pour, clean. I agree with Matt, in that it's not as dense as others in the cider substyle, but it remains an incredible cider. Drinks really nice. Perfect taste for the season.

Bottle in Seattle. Found at Garden Path Fermentation in Burlington. Dark, clear amber. Still and heavy. Deep aroma, fairly sweet, autumnal and maple syrup. Touch of tannin structure to balance the obviously rather sweet body. Sticky edges, but never cloying. Some distant oak. Not the heaviest body of an ice cider I've had, nor the most precise. But this is still a wonderful product.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor; corked bottle
Amber colour, bright. Lovely character of stewed apples and caramel, the aroma is intriguing, the flavour is less complex; balanced acidity; a bit short in the final; there is some astringency, and strong alcohol too.
Excellent.
