CObiased (690) - Bayfield, Colorado, USA - SEP 9, 2018
UPDATED: SEP 9, 2018 11.2oz bottle - pours a rich copper color reminiscent of iced tea with a small off white head. The aroma is bready malt and pine hops. Old school IPA to me with a style leaning towards balance. Not bad but I’d love to try it fresh.

Svesse (12015) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 12, 2018
(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 8 Feb 2018) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit and biscuits. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, lemon peel, biscuity malt and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing, with a generous hop presence. Nice one.

Hazy orange with sudsy beige head. Pours mosly foam out of the bottle. Resinous full body with moderately high carbonation.

Aroma: resinous hops with bright citrus notes, candied citrus peels, bready worty malt. Some harsh esters and alcohols.

Taste: intense candied citrus peels, faint wild yeast notes.

bottle @ Belmont Party Supply / Dayton OH --- Aroma of citrus and sweet butterscotch. Cloudy dark orange brown, rocky beige head that hangs at two-fingers, streaks and globs of lace. Taste is smooth sweet malt that moves through medium, but short-lived, carbonation, then to tea with lemon and orange. The tea becomes the bittering in a long, dry finish. A little understated, which only enhances the overall balanced flow of the drink. Recommended. (if you can find it)

Ungstrup (47893) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 9, 2016
A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, spices, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrusy hops, spices, pine needles, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Great balanced Cascade IPA. Aroma is mostly hop with a little malt. Appearance is a thick creamy head. Flavor has hop out front with malt standing right up to it and just enough carbonation to perfectly complement. Excellent full body. Great drinking.

Draught@CBC2015 (blue session). Amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, some mild liquorice and spices as well as some mild bready and caramelly notes. Flavour is very similar. Flavour is rather simplistic, but still very tasty.

Too overrated; nothing very special nor consistent. People has been rating this beer as if all of them were cascade, but many of them were citra or other hops. I agree cascade was the best off, but still too sweet and dark for an IPA.

Deep dark copper and bronzed coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of deep strong resin, pine, earth, caramel and a good hit of oranges. Medium-bodied; Assertive caramel and toffee flavour up front with a bit of earth and metal going through. A touch of hops near the finish, not very noticeable and no signs of grapefruit nor citrus. Aftertaste shows the caramel, malt, alcohol and a very slight amount of pine at the very end. Overall, not showing too much, especially a cascade note or any hops at all, to be honest. This one may be past its prime, given that it was on sale at the store, so I understand that the hops may have died down a bit. That said, it still didn’t show me much, and i’ve had much better IPAs from Barcelona, even, than this one - so it’s definitely a pass, especially for the price, and even more so, especially if you are stateside. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Leuken’s Liqour in Dunedin, Florida on 03-October-2015 for US$4,59 sampled at home in Washington on 05-November-2015, just a little more than a month after buying it.
