UPDATED: DEC 30, 2019 Hazy orange-gold color with a medium frothy white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Tart fruit, what, yeast and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of tart passionfruit, mildly funky yeast, wheat and doughy malt. The finish is tart with a lingering passionfruit aftertaste. Good beer all around.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2019 Well this is my long overdue first introduction to Edmund’s Oast Brewing, from a fresh pint can poured into a snifter glass at home. From just popping the tab on the can I already was getting a strong natural passionfruit aroma, and upon further olfactory inspection the passionfruit continued to dominate the aroma with only passing whiffs of tart orange juice and wheat. A bit monolithic on the nose, but still great fresh fruit flavor. Appearance was a hazy pineapple juice golden orange, with a thin white bubbly champagne head that dissipated quickly. The flavor was - you guessed it - predominantly fresh passionfruit over a sour and tart base with notes of wheat and pineapple. The palate is where this beer really standards out, as it’s incredibly smooth for a sour style and has a nice tingly spritziness to further support the refreshing character of the beer. Despite the spritzy accent it’s actually not too carbonated and has a pleasant medium body to it. Finishes with only a mild pucker and a tangy citrus aftertastes. Overall fantastic, one of the best sours I’ve had!

emacgee (5141) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - SEP 7, 2019
UPDATED: SEP 7, 2019 Cloudy/murky bright lemon gold with one finger short lived white head. Aroma and flavor are bright, forward, and deliver simply what the label advertises: passionfruit and sour. Intense and bright musty tropical passionfruit with notes of pineapple and lemon zest. Pineapple and passionfruit juice burst forward in the flavor and are followed by a bracing acidity. Lean crisp and tart.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2019 16oz can at home, canned on 7/02/19. This is really good... hazy golden orange with a thin, dissipating off-white head. Heavy passion fruit aroma and flavor right up front with well balanced sour acidity, apricot, earth, light malt. Light but crisp carb, medium body. Fruity, sour passion fruit finish. This is my favorite of the series so far...fruit/sour proportion works really well, hard to put the glass down.
