UPDATED: MAY 28, 2020 Eel River Amber Ale has a thick, bone-colored head, a hazy tan appearance, with amber specs, throughout, and minimal lacing. The aroma is of musty malt and fruit (figs, dates, raisin, etc.). The flavor is similar, with no bitterness. Mouthfeel is somewhat heavy, and Eel River Amber Ale finishes slightly sweet. RJT

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2019 Pint in Golden Gate Taproom in SF. Pours clear amber with a lacy head. Not much aroma to speak of. Light malty taste not overpowering. Flavour easily masked by other food/drink. (K)

Amber with off white head - Malt aroma with some caramel and some hops in the back - Malt body with a carmnal flavour with some hints of hops in the back - The caramel flavour goes into the finish with just some hints of hops to balance - This was nice

Bottle @ DØE Øllets dag, brdr. Schmidt, Viby. Pours dark amber with a creamy tan head. Aroma of malt, light caramel, wood, light grassy hops. Flavor is sweet, abit thin, malt, caramel, little berries, grass. Thin to medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish. 020917

A finger of head on hazy dark straw body. Aroma has spicy notes, caramel and lemon. Taste has caramel, mild lemon bitterness, and honey. Texture has a grainy sense to it and a little more body.

Pours a hazy golden brown from the bottle with bubbly off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of mild toasted makes and clean fruity yeast. Taste follows, a standard amber, easy to drink. Just unexciting.

Received a 12-oz bottle via trade as an extra. Pours a semi-clear brownish amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that quickly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, a hint of grassy hops and some earthy spice. Taste is medium bodied, soft carbonation with flavors of multi-grain malt, grassy hops and caramel malt. Finish is semi-sweet a lingering floral and grassy hop aftertaste followed by some caramel malt flavors.
