COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It's been 3 years since we last brewed Cherry Blackout, and although we have been asked to brew it again many times, we felt it could be better, so we have been working a new improved recipe and here it is. With a load more chocolate and a combination of both sour and sweet cherries we introduce to you, Cherry's Back Out.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2022 02Feb2020 Intense dark malts, dark roast grains, burnt toast, dark chocolate, cacao. Hazy, very dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More dark chocolate, cacao, dark pureed cherry between chocolate cake, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Nice. Can from Ghost Whale - Putney.

rumore (3109) - Rimini, ITALY - MAY 29, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 29, 2020 Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black with fine brown foam. Aroma is coffee and mostly dark chocolate, plus raisins. Body is rather smooth, dense, creamy, with almost absent carbonation. Taste is elegantly roasty, with a little sweetness too. Final is average.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2020 Shrewsbury Beer Share in Chez Sophie; 24th Feb 2020. Cheers Mike for this 440cl can. Black bodied, tanned topping. More chocolate than cherry flavours, still decent though, definite sweet and sourness within it's make up.

minutemat (11726) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2020 440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, FEB 20 during the famous Shrewsbury floods of 2020. Black pour, good tan head. Grainy chocolate nose, distant cherry. Not too much cherry coming through to taste unfortunately.. expected a black forest gateau affair, but this seemed more one dimensional with grainy malt and chocolate coming through. Decent for what it is though.

LazyPyro (6007) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2019

Beese (12774) - Tooting, London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 21, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2019 440ml can at We Brought Beer, Tooting (new release is ‘Cherry’s Back Out’, but I think it’s the same beer). Near black with a dense tan head. The cherries come through nicely in the aroma, as does the cocoa, which conjures up bitter dark chocolate, with no hint of sweetness. A very full body, but not syrupy. Roasty bitterness is the immediate flavour, with more of that bitter chocolate note and then some light fruitiness, but it’s pretty subdued. This is definitely not a sweet stout. A nice linger. Quite deceptive, as it doesn’t taste 8%. An incredibly reasonable price tag too for a can.
