ComradeK (1837) - North-Western Ontario, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 26, 2015750ml bottle. Pours a hazy deep ruby, with a large light beige head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. Leather, a hint of smoke, resin and spice hops make for an inviting aroma. Potent spruce, citrus zest and marmalade hops up front give way to caramel, toffee and a meaty, savoury flavour in the mid-palate. It finishes strongly, with orange blossom and spruce hops. A nicely balanced hoppy, malty strong ale.
alberti92 (159) - - FEB 10, 2015Bottle from cellarbrations superstore hami hill. Up front on the nose there's tones of booze with some caramel sweetness. Some resin comes through with slight roasty and citrusy undertones as well. Taste is pretty much as inviting as the aroma and rather syrupy. Not too bad.
