UPDATED: JUL 1, 2021 Pour is a complete black with a large creamy tan head. Aroma is a full roast and char malt. Flavor is a minor roast, some chocolate syrup and a green hop spicy bitterness. This brewer may have been bought out by AB and some of their beers are kind of meh but I thought this was real good. Plenty of roasted malt, just enough sweetness and the hops actually make an appearance.

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2021 Pours black with a thin, tan head. Aroma is cocoa, molasses and roast. Taste is chocolate and brown sugar, moving to roast and building hop backbone. Finish is chocolate, brown sugar and hops.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2020 Draft. Dark brown black pour, roasted malt aroma, some mild hops. Flavor is fairy dry and roasty, but lacking a bit of body, okay.

coasternut (649) - VANCOUVER, Washington, USA - OCT 5, 2020
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2020 Sweet and bitter with a smooth character from the oats. Small head that is tannish in color. Aroma is sweetness and chocolate. Taste is a blend of chocolate & coffee, if it wasn't so bitter I'd say it was a good beer, though my wife really liked it.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2020 This one is beautiful. Good strong roasty chocolate stout, with just enough oats to cut through the bad bitters and leave you with a creamy smooth very drinkable stout.

fallingleaves (69) - Colorado, USA - MAR 10, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2020 Its a strong simple no thrills stout. It has a sweetness that lingers throughout paired with the high alcohol taste that is true to the imperial style. Very good.

scotchzombie (818) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JAN 1, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2020 Pours pitch black with a finger-width tan head of fine bubbles. Aroma is roasted oats, cocoa. Taste brings sharpness and some nice chocolate, roasted coffee and oatmeal flavor. Some backend mild citrus hops are present as well. Slightly bitter close. A bit sticky; low carbonation. Very enjoyable!

rja (867) - BREDA, NETHERLANDS - AUG 4, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2019 A bomber full of pitch blac beer. The beer is smooth but also very sweet. In the after taste there is also a lot of hops. As if a germe schwarz beer is cobined with a stout. Not my favourite combination.
