UPDATED: JUN 17, 2021 330ml bottle. Pours hazed orange golden with a small white head. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, orange citrus, light smoky vibes. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, rich, malty, caramel, floral hop and again a distinct smoky note. Medium body with soft carbonation.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2021 Cloudy amber beer with a firm head. the peppery taste from the Rye is pronounced but all other tastes are a bit hidden. Not and IPA but a strong hopped Pale Ale. Not a smoke beer but a beer with smoke, Probably quite refreshing when de beer is cold and the weather is hot.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2020 Bottle from an online Shop. Cloudy red amber with a long lasting head. Lightly spicy, nice and smoky nose. Flavor is great, sweet and smoky, rounded, very full flavor, not too astringent. Excellent.

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2019 Tap@Muusa, Tampere, Finland. Medium, averagely balanced nuances of smoked, slightly bitter, fresh fruits. Averagely hopped. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with smokey, hoppy fruits. Strong body with medium carbonation. Overall, quite classy but the combination of smoke and fruits don't work. 4 4 5 4 13

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2019 Pours a slightly cloudy, deep, dark amber coloration with a ruby hue and a small, creamy head. Smells of toasted, caramel malt, smoke, citrus and pine, with just a hint of peppery spice. Taste is a great balance of toasted, caramel malt, medium smokiness, citrus hops, with grapefruit really standing out, pine and peppery rye spiciness. Finishes with a strong bitterness and some smoke, grapefruit and peppery spice lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. While this may not be for everyone, I personally do think that there's an excellent balance of fruity, smokey, spicy and piney notes going on here that all complement each other incredibly well, although the focus really is on the smokey, spicy character, as it should be for a 'Smoked Rye IPA'. Still, the sweet malts and piney, citrus hops provide an excellent balance, making for quite a complex and well-balanced beer, even though body and mouthfeel feel just a little light.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2019 Ik ben niet van de rookbieren, maar deze is alleraardigst. Hoppige smaak, rokerige afdronk. 6,2% alcohol. Van de Emelisse brouwerij uit Goes.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2019 Licht smokey in geur en smaak, spicy roggemout, fruitig gehopt... tropische hinten komen door het rokerige heen. Redelijk droge bitter. Top!

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2019 Amberkleurig bier met heel veel schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht zoet met een mooie subtiele rooksmaak.
