BlackHaddock (12580) - The County Time Forgot, Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2021UPDATED: DEC 3, 2021 33cl bottle: BB 4th February 2023. Drank at home on 3rd December 2021. Poured into an old Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass at home and shared with no one! I allowed the sediment to leave the bottle, so I got a murky, dirty reddy brown body, and an off-white head that was pretty thin. The nose holds a spicy, dark fruit aroma, the taste also leaning towards dark fruits and a spicy feel. Interesting beer all round, nice herbal undertones and fun trying to pick out the flavours.
vinaugvic (175) - - OCT 30, 2021UPDATED: OCT 30, 2021 Slightly hazy amber with a moderate-good white head.
Aroma: Malts - Caramel. Also some herbal hops.
Mouth: Good balance of bitterness and sweetness. Medium body. A good beer, mainstream.
bdleedahl (4795) - , Saxony, GERMANY - AUG 16, 2021UPDATED: AUG 16, 2021 This bottle feels a bit oxidized. The underlying beer is just okay. I would like a fresh one to try again, but it is still two years to expiry. Lacking bright freshness, but it is malty nice. Sterk ams

EdKing (3394) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2021UPDATED: MAY 30, 2021 Bottle from Hop, Burns & Black. Hazy bright rusty red with a very slightly off white medium foam head which retains thinly throughout. Taste is crisp, bitter, subtle touch of sour plum (umeboshi) bread crust, touch of cranberry, earthy, autumnal leaves, some dryness on finish
Jyrsa (1588) - - MAY 8, 2021UPDATED: MAY 8, 2021 Bottle. Dark copper. Herbal, liquorice, red berries. Earthy with leaves, herbs. Medium body, sticky.
LagerGuide122 (803) - - APR 27, 2021UPDATED: APR 27, 2021 330ml bottle brewed in Austria at 6.9%. Ruddy lightly hazed copper-amber with a very large head, good duration. Some black grape and blackcurrant and a little chocolate in the aroma, with perhaps some very faint marmite yeast. Moderate carbonation, somewhat foamy, but with a juicy finish. Definite ribena here, and some black grape with very mild tannin meeting clove spice to close, alongside a bready-chocolate malt that similarly keeps itself in check. Refreshing interpretation of a Belgian Amber Ale with definite character of its own; just compare the Strisselspalt here to that of a Kronenbourg 1664!
