UPDATED: JUL 27, 2021 Draught at Albany Ale and Oyster: pours hazy yellow with white head. Huge citrus and tropical fruity notes. Clean juicy citrus. Very smooth. Nice fruity aftertaste. Excellent.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2020 Pours a hazy, golden yellow, with mid-sized head. Aroma is a bit grassy, with some pine-hop, citrus, and tropical fruit. Flavor follows, along with an astringent, peppery aftertaste (my can is a couple months old). Not as good as what I was expecting, though again, maybe it's not as fresh?

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2019 Draft pour at GBs Bottle Shop. Pours a cloudy golden orange color and topped by a small off white layer of foam that shows good retention before slowly settling to a thin film and leaves streaks of lace around the glass. The aroma is really nice and bursts of juicy citrus and tropical fruits with notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, and mango over a soft doughy malt base and a nice dry note from the hops. The flavor follows suit with the juicy citrus fruits of tangerine, grapefruit, and mango right up front to go with a soft vanilla note, pineapple, and doughy malts with a firm hop bitterness on the back end. Medium bodied and smooth with balanced carbonation that leads a slightly dry, bitter sweet, and juicy citrus fruit finish. Really tasty stuff with a great mouthfeel and really easy drinking. Really good IPA.

One beer is better than the other! Difficult to decide! Fractal Citra is a New England ipa that has a tropical aroma and a smooth drinkable IPA!

Dégustée en fût à la brasserie en compagnie de Marc-André. Allure laiteuse. Elle a tout d’une belle NEIPA, moins la rétention de la mousse. Beaucoup de grains dans cette bière où le houblon Citra est moyennement représenté. Les notes habituelles de ce houblon bien connu me parviennent, mais timidement et la mine basse - sans doute intimidées par le malt. Même scénario en bouche alors que les malts occupent toute la place ou presque. Texture carrée en bouche et sans grande finesse. Étonnamment peu aromatique et plutôt amère. Je crois que cette brasserie saura produire de belles choses sous peu, mais elle a encore besoin de temps pour parfaire ses produits. À surveiller.
