COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shut Up Meg is our dry-hopped Farmhouse IPA. This Belgian-style ale is brewed with rye and a touch of winter wheat, hopped with Citra, Amarillo & Simcoe hops, and fermented with Belgian Saison yeast. The aroma is dank, juicy American hops and spicy rye. The palate follows suit, with notes of peach, white grape, Asian pear, black pepper, and an almost savory herbaceous quality. The finish is bone dry with impressions of fresh parsley, coconut and cedar.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is hazy yellow-orange with greenish tinge and fine particulates, 3-finger width fizzy white head with decent retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is citrus, yeasty fruity esters, hint of pine. Taste is fruity esters, spicy rye, more substantial pine than aroma, lighter citrus than aroma. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with creamy texture, lively carbonation and mix of mostly sweet and bitter over tart finish. Overall, a nice mix of saison and IPA with decent complexity.

12oz bottle thanks to Toby, share on 6/11/16. Hazy pale golden body, small airy white head. Saison aroma, right on the money, bready, spicy, herbal. Taste adds a bit of zing, peppery spicy elements, ending back to the nice malt flavors.
