Andrew196 (2455) - Katy, Texas, USA - JAN 3, 2021UPDATED: JAN 3, 2021 Pours oh so dark, a head so dark that it almost looks purple. Nose of wood, bourbon, kahlua. Maple comes through on the palate, cocoa, chocolate syrup, molasses, cask, coffee... Something is slightly off in the end, a little medicinal, even metallic. Overall pretty good.

Unde (1906) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 30, 2019UPDATED: MAY 30, 2019 Oily black beer. Super sweet, dark chocolate and maple syrup, Bourbon barrel and vanilla, some booze but really sticky sweet. Bourbon balances the sweetness but well I like sweet so I'll gladly enjoy it.
neongolden (3888) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 18, 2019UPDATED: MAY 18, 2019 (650ml bottle from Beergium) Pours pitch black with an average brown head. Notes of dark chocolate malts, sweetish and rather brownie-like, with a bit of molasses, moderate roast, decent amount of maple syrup, toasty nuts, cookies, smooth bourbon and vanilla, hints of char. Dries into the finish with dark chocolate, cookies, almonds, light coffee, maple, soft spirit heat, low dusty roast bitterness. Medium-full creamy body with soft carbonation. Proper dessert beer, not pure sugar but rich and well-made. Good stuff as I'd expect.
