COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In June 2016 we filled some bourbon maple syrup barrels from our friends at BliS with this beautiful stout. exactly one year later in june 17 we transferred that beer to 2 huge marsala wine barrels and let it age there for another 6 month. out came a big, bold yet silky smooth stout with obvious notes of the bourbon 🥃 and maple syrup 🍁 backed up by notes of apricot, vanilla, tamarind, brown sugar and tobacco from the marsala wine barrels. possibly our proudest barrel aged stout to date, that we can’t wait to share with you! NOTE: this is not the same beer as 'Imperial Biscotti Break Double Maple Barrel-Aged'

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2020 big store grocery here in NYC broke the price in a sale. So... it's boozy with a bit of syrup and chocolate syrup. Bourbon and Maple light and fortified with brown sugar. Strong spirit and also full volume bodied and a lot of nice flavors abound which have been described. A bit of cigar near the end for a chew. nuts and Vanilla...always a good style for me.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2019 Bottle shared at DACBE New Year's share. Thanks Brad. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige foam that dissipates quickly. Big nutty aromas with toffee, almond and chocolate. Maple syrup is still lingering with spices and vanilla notes as it warms. Boozy on the palate and easy drinking. Rich and decadent stout. Might have been a bit more interesting a few years ago. Still a fun beer to crack.

b3shine (11340) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - MAR 4, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 4, 2019 Expensive bomber to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a slightly translucent very dark cola with beige head that slowly but steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good too; RICH and malty with loads of dark malt, cocoa, oak, maple syrup, and marsala. Tastes like it smells, but more vinous and maple-forward. Mouthfeel is medium-full to full-bodied with a perfectly balanced vinous presence. Overpriced, but delicious.
