UPDATED: JAN 3, 2022 Can pour, thick dark brown pour. Wet flannel and fake almond aroma. Doesn’t taste like biscotti, basic stout at best but the problem is that synthetic flavors come through and there is a wet flannel note that tastes odd.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2021 22oz (Chris R.!) @ Andrey's. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: dark fruits, chocolate cookies, moderately sweet. Taste: along the same lines, some roasted notes. Overall: good.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2021 Black pour. Aroma of biscuit, liquorice and a hint of coffee. Sweet coffee flavour alongside vanilla and some roasted nuts. Boozy finish.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2021 No head, beer pours as black syrup. Chocolate, bit of tobacco, liquorice, less than the Westbrook variant. Sweet & black chocolate, hints at booze, whilst finish is almost pure black chocolate. Dry and burning with a fiery finish. Quite good stout, certainly in the pastry cabardouche.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2021 Czego tu nie ma? Wanilia, czekolada deserowa, kawa, herbatniki, migdały, a nawet marcepan. Do tego słodycz przełamana przyjemną goryczką i ledwie wyczuwalny alkohol grzejący przyjemnie w przełyk. Sztos!

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2021 473ml can from Beer Merchants, canned 16/10/2020 Very dark brown, brown head, minimal lacing. Nose - tiramisu, alcohol (in a good way). Taste - sweet, almonds, vanilla, bit of coffee. Almondy aftertaste.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2021 The aroma is a slight chocolate, hint of vanilla. Pours almost black with amber hues, a tan head mostly diminishing and light lacing. The taste is a medium bitter. The body is medium/full, the texture is creamy and the carbonation is average.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2021 First time trying this beer and OMG is it good. It pours a very dark chocolate brown, almost black. It has dark brown head, about 2 fingers tall with some lacing. It's aroma is dark chocolate, vanilla, almonds/bread and slight coffee. It has a nice sweet taste that is not to heavy and a definite alcohol taste that is not overpowering. It is very delicious and could drink more of this beer. I love Imperials.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2021 Black body with thin tan head. Full sweet pastry aroma. Robust taste, biscotti, malt and a bit of coffee. Well balanced finish. Not to boozy

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2021 Terrific black pour w/ a beige head & some lacing. The aroma is robust w/ sweetness - vanilla dessert, some booze, & the slightest hint of coffee. The flavor is also quite sweet w/ just enough coffee & booze to balance it out. It’s really nice on the palate & overall is a wonderful brew!
