emusche (209) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 7, 201616.9 oz bottle dtd 7/17/12, so this is pretty well cellared at this point. Pours deep mahogany with a clingy head. Nose is brown sugar, raisins, caramel, plums, Belgian yeast. Tastes like figs, toffee, burnt brown sugar, some of the common Abbey-style spiciness. It's ok; expected something more... exotic, I guess, for the price.

zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - FEB 8, 2015(bottle - 500 ml) Murky brown with a thin tan head. Very mild, almost non-existent, aroma. Some light malts and not much else. Mild flavor. Some light malts and a touch of sweetness with a hint of bitterness at the end. Alright.
slowrunner77 (19086) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 17, 2014"Not sure what to think of this one. Overpriced for sure, and one of my least favorite Evil Twin beers to date. Not as yeasty as most BSAs but doesn’t really fit anywhere else either. String and a little sweet, with a unique hard to peg flavor, presumably from the muscovado sugar. "
daje (4909) - NORWAY - AUG 20, 2014Bottle. Cloudy dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, oranges, banana, plums. Taste is sweet, brown sugar, raisin, banana with a peachy and spicy yeast finish. Pretty sweet stuff, though the taste has a nice complexity which makes this an enjoyable beer. For sharing I might add.
DandyWolfFloyd (1839) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 7, 2014Aroma - dark caramelized sugars, alcohol, somewhat nutty aroma, a little fig
Appearance - very dark brown almost black; body is opaque; alcohol; tan head is about 2" and eventually rings out
Taste - has a rich dark caramelized sugar presence; some fig, raisin, and a little bit of spices; there is a rich rum sort of quality
Palate - body is heavy; the texture is sticky, thick, and slick; carbonation is lively; the finish is sort of alcoholic and a rich caramelized sugar sweetness.
