ctipping (3902) - Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 23, 2019 750 mL bottle. Lightly hazy. Medium white head. Smells of strong Brett. Light citrus behind it. Tastes of Brett immediately. Aggressively so. Tropical fruit behind it. Then Brett bitterness. It's really really bitter, which I rather liked at first, but it's getting fatiguing. Good, but very strong Brett bitterness.

Totally different, strong aromatic almost floral but different. Light body not like an ipa. More like a gold lager ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(En fût à la source): Grande cuirette humide, de la purée d'ananas et une rondeur exemplaire vers la sécheresse qu'elle exige.

750ml bottle acquired from deyholla. Derek always gettin’ me those #Calebrews. Pours a darker golden hue, a gentle haze but a darker metallic glow and color that still pops well. Cakey offwhite head is large and in charge, billowy slow gusher stays big and laces well. Aromas present funk and spice, cobwebs and dust. A gentle pineapple flourish, dusty brett and cobwebs meet horseblanket, mellow spice, bitter floral hops and a kiss of pithy citrus. Subtle fruit and hop essence grows a bit more as we settle, more funk, cheesecloth, barnyard, straw and bready malts. Initial is a bit fruitier but still dry and dusty, a lighter body overall with a tropical fruit flourish, decent hoppy element is bitter, earthy, and melds well with a middling funk character. Some macerated pineapple, subtle citrus, mellow estery fruit lends itself to a lighter body overall. Bready, straw, earthy elements are lighter, bitter, funky as we press on. I think the fruit element up front really makes this one. Instead of a dissipated, dry funk bomb, this one adds some complexity. That tropical melange hits gently as we move to the lighter, funky, dry, and bitter backend. Fuzzy, slightly rubbery funk appeal tapers out. Firmly dry, bitter, fuzzy, and funky as we finish up. An intriguing experience, certainly brett and funk driven, but with some fruity character up front that really lends some fun. Very nice, dry, funky, bitter stuff that I quite enjoy. Perhaps a more aggressive bretty finish at times, but isn’t that what we signed up for here. Nice, funk and hoppy nose. A Fruity front end, very pretty pour, and tasty flow that doesn’t just end up funk and bone dry while still letting you know the brett is in charge. Nice stuff!

Taproom. Hazy gold color with a medium head. Funky lemon rind aroma. Light hay and grass. Flavor like funky dank forest. Very dry, slightly astringent. Hints of something like decomposing fruit, maybe apple. Solid.

Minnesota Trip Beer #179. Keg at the brewery, 5/12/16. Hazy golden, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of brett, herbal and piney hops. The taste is herbal hops, pale malt, brett, lemon, grapefruit. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Lots of home runs at this brewery!

8 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Nordeast Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 5-4-16. Mostly clear, shiny bronze. Moderate amount of creamy beige head. Nice color, nice head, and nice lacing. Funky, fruity aroma. Young Brett smell. Really nice aroma. Scents of baked apple and a bit of spice; caramel and watermelon; orange and tangerine. The flavor is broadly similar to the aroma but with less fresh fruit and more tart-like, lightly funky, Brett bite. Chewy in the palate. Light body. Soft. A bit lively. Something of a challenge to drink in flavor and palate, despite the fact that the palate seems aqueous and insubstantial, especially for the ABV. Gets off to a very good start, but the flavor and palate don’t rise up to match the aroma and appearance. Ultimately a disappointment although far from a bad beer. Rating number 2000.

Keg @ Fair State. Slightly hazy copper pour with a small head. Nose demonstrates brett character. Earth, dried wood. Light manure. Some marshmallow. A bit of cantaloupe. Flavor is initially sweet and fruity. Dry, earthy and wild on the finish. Brett. Very dry. Light body, effervescent.

May 4, 2015 - on tap at Fair State. Clear dark golden pour with some head that faded quickly. Aroma was funky with mild hops and malt. Taste was as expected, a tart pale ale.
