UPDATED: JUL 7, 2021 Flaska från Etre Gourmet. Mörk, något disig orange med hög smutsvit krona. Jästigt, maltigt, maltsötma, syltade apelsinskal, något kryddigt. Viss tvålighet, gissningsvis med lite koriander i. Nästan lite knäckigt, vissa drag åt tallbarr och granskott. Bra beska, något fylligare, viss värme från alkoholen. Ligger kvar i munnen länge.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2021 All the Fantôme beers I've had have been fun and unique. Maybe it's the art style but it reminds me of De Dolle. Strangely, I only have two Fantome ratings so far: Fantôme d'Ete and Fantôme de Noel. It seems therefore apt to get around to the spring brew, as the season is upon us. I found this one at Vendome Liquor. Pours like a Duvel. Bright almost clear straw gold with a thick opalescent white froth. It smells like beer beer. Odd note, I know, but I think it's the combination of hops and malts that give it that clean classic saison, or maybe pilsener-like aroma. So many beers I have these days are so specific in character that they drift far away from that essence that is somewhere hidden at the core. Accompanying that base layer are aromas of wet hay, light lemon zest, pipe tobacco and bay leaf. The flavor is so pleasant. I can't believe this is 8%. Starts with a wonderful fluffy mineral mouthfeel. Quite a dry, hoppy brew. There's a strong vegetal quality. Asparagus especially. Printemps is all about texture on the tongue. The thick bubbles transition to a light tingly sensation, and as you swallow a thin layer of acacia honey coats the palate. Subtle hints of bubble gum and banana, and a resinous aftertaste.

jybi (1866) - Nouméa, NEW CALEDONIA - MAY 8, 2020

Cristobal37 (2249) - Tustin, California, USA - APR 26, 2020
UPDATED: APR 26, 2020 Big explosive bottle pours dark golden, big head subsides to nothing. Resiny aroma with some citrus notes. Resiny carbonated saison. Not bitter so much but the hops certainly come through. Like hop resin syrup under the bubbles.

The Etruscan (857) - Tuscany, ITALY - APR 25, 2020
UPDATED: APR 25, 2020 Off white creamy head. Amber colour. Aroma is malty with fruity (apple and plum) and elderberry and cardamom notes. Flavor is malty too with fruity (apple and not ripe apricot) and elderberry and officinalis herbs, ending in an herbal and slightly white fruity finish. Medium bodied.

DraftDodger (5615) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 11, 2020
UPDATED: APR 11, 2020 Copenhagen 11/4 2020. 75 cl. corked and capped bottle from Ølkassen webshops. The little characteristic ghost hovering above some castle-like structure on the green label. Pours hazy, golden yellow with a very big, white had. Steady and fluffy. Settles 3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Massive lacing. Aroma is medium intense and a bit dampened b the considerable amount of foam. Sweet fruitiness mingling with a lighter tart sourness. Elderberry, ripe gooseberries, oranges. Citrus and lemon peeking in. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, creamy. lightly tingling texture. Flavor is medium intense. Medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric, tart sourness. Aftertaste is tart and lingers for a bit. Finish is dry with a vinous touch. Lives up to the name with a pretty fresh and spring-like take on a Saison. Tart and ry but also with a sweetish fruity touch.
