UPDATED: JAN 11, 2022 16 ounce can. Amber orange pour. Beige head disappears in seconds. Sweet caramel aroma hints at cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. Flavor mirrors nose. Added notes of coriander and brown sugar. Warming alcohol in middle. Cherry and candi sugar on backend.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2021 Pours a clear iced tea brown with an off white head. Aroma of Belgian spices and sweet toffee. Medium body with a light soft texture. Nice balance of winter spices with a Belgian taste. Hides the alcohol well. Just a tad thin and too sweet but enjoyable.

Crisp copper and amber coloured body with a ruby glow and a thinnish tan head. Aroma of candy sugar, apricots, pit fruits, nice earth, caramel, toffee, rich fruits and a dose of floral hops, all with a good deal of alcohol as well. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich pit fruit flavour with a lot of sugars, some caster sugar, a lot of earthy and caramel malts and some light alcohol at the end that finishes fairly nice and smooth. Aftertaste has a mellow sweetness with a touch of grain, a lot of light sugars, a smooth alcohol burn and a touch of complexity near the end. Overall, a nice rich and fairly smooth beer for the style that shows nicely and has a good fruity sweetness with alcohol that is well hidden! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey exactly a year ago on 22-December-2015 for US$2,42 sampled at home in Washington a year later on 22-December-2016.

I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours dark red with almost no head. The aroma is spice and dark fruit. The taste is spice, plum, other dark fruit, and booze. It had a strong, boozy taste to it. This was pretty good. I was expecting more though.

Draft pour at the Bethlehem location. Poured a clear copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma was lots of holiday spices. Coriander, nutmeg. Flavor was candi, brown sugar. Booze, but subtle. Nice!

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2016 Draft at the Irish Pol. Clear dark orange brown pour with off-white foam. Runny lace mostly disappeared over time. Spicy malt brew with some dark amber fruit and vegetables. Brandy-soaked sugared pears. Clear candy toys. Nutmeg. Cinnamon. Clove. Peat. Celery. Ginger. Apricot cordials. Started off tasting sugary and simple but developed nicely as it warmed. Eventually feels surprisingly similar to many better Belgium Christmas brews albeit a bit rougher. Would have again.

Dark reddish tint, nice spice notes but not overwhelming. A bit of an aftertaste, but overall not bad for such a high abv. Will buy again.
