(5.8%) pours unclear but almost dirty orange with a small bubbly off-white head offering some retention and lacing. bretted oranges, dill, astringent herbs, woodsiness and tannins, strong brett presence with an odd golden apple sugar (since it's super bretty), lots of cheesy notes, like an old caramelized gouda, lots of salt from soil. bright to less than moderate carbonation, light body, relatively dry and lightly tart bretty-herbal-citrusy finish. not their most refined as "coup de canon" is a complex and balanced solid farmhouse cider. still enjoyed!

Bottle - Funk, Apple and some leather. Clearish gold. Funk and a touch of peat with a crazy long finish. Complex and fantastic.

A textbook example of a funky Normandy Brut. Mushroomy, dusty, very unfiltered, highly effervescent, tannic and sharp, with more acidity and less sweetness than your average Brut. Having tried the ’Très Brut’ from Canon which is an overly aged Brut, I would strongly suggest to sit on your bottle of Brut for an extra year or two as the funk seems to develop and morph into broader earthy territory and wilder effervescence and acidity. Worth a try at these ridiculous price tags (3e).

Bottle shared. Clear pale gold pour with fizzy white head. Aroma is intensely farmy, super funky, manure like aromas, cider apples, very aromatic, light sulphur notes as well. Taste is sweet, lightly mineral, light sulphur notes but overall pretty enjoyable. Palate is light bodied with good carbonation. Good.

Pours a clear golden with a nice sustained fizz that replenishes a small white partial head. Nose is of intense horseblanket and almost manure. Some cider in the finish. Not the Orval-esque brett of the bottle (or was it draft?) of Etienne Dupont Cidre Bio I’ve had to say the least... Taste is of nice, lightly tart apples and pretty much completely dry. Funky horseblanket, barnyard and almost meaty (credit to tom10101 on this one) flavors try to overwhelm and almost succeed. Quite an experience that’s for sure! Body is medium and carbonation moderate. Some tannins. Give it a try if you’re open minded!

Bottle (750 ml) at home. Split 2-ways. Hazy orange with a medium fizzy white head, no retention, leaving little to no lacing. Aroma is of citrus, tart apples, farmy notes but less than Coup de Canon, mineral notes, meaty notes and dust. Taste is of citrus / lemon, tart apples, moderate farmy notes, hints of meat, mineral notes, hay and dust. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Dry finish. It lack the heavy farmy character of the Coup de Canon, but it’s a pretty good cider with high drinkability and a nice array of flavors. The meaty presence is fun, as is the dust. Tasty stuff.
