UPDATED: OCT 27, 2021 Bomber, 2014 vintage. Caramel malt aroma with notes of toffee, dark fruit, vanilla, bourbon, oak and booze. Pours cloudy toffee brown colored with half a finger of tan head that has good retention and lacing. Starts with rich caramel, toffee and dark fruit flavors as well as having a rich, full body and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth with vanilla, bourbon and oak flavors as well as nice, warming booze at the end. Fantastic beer on a cool evening!

UPDATED: APR 10, 2021 2014 Vintage. Poured from bomber. Pours dark copper color with a tan head. Aroma is caramel and boozy bourbon. Flavor is sweet caramel and toffee with bourbon and a dry barrel finish. Really nice.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2019 Amberkleurig met crèmekleurige schuimkraag die redelijk snel inzakt tot fijn laagje. Caramel, mout, kandijsuiker, heel mooie barrel. Supergoed in balans. Prachtbier!!

2013 vintage 22oz bottle pours out copper amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nice sweet caramel toffee malts some pineapple notes. Tatse is more of the nice sweet malts pineapple presents and a wood end.

A pour from the bottle from ES (thx, Jamey!) on Black Christmas V. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity bourbon. Same taste. Very nice.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2017 Medium amber, clear. Medium to full body, silky texture, flavorful, little carbonation but extreme heat, average length. Sweet, hint of bitterness. Malty, caramel, boozy. Typical barley wine, very tasty.

Bottle, shared at Northern Monk. Deepest, ruby red. Foamy, beige head. Nose has oaky vanilla. Toffee apple. Baked apple. Big on the caramel, with notes of wafer and ripe vine fruit. Taste is sweet and oaky, with some boozy bitterness. Full on mouthfeel. Rich and sweet. Bit of booze to finish. Standard stuff.

66cl Bottle sample at Potjepalooza. Hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is quite sweet, vanilla, sweet malts, sticky, dried apricots, raisins, oak, caramel/toffee. Flavour follows, quite sweet and sticky, toffee, raisin, apricot, oak, alcohol, vanilla. Medium to full bodied. Nice, but a bit too sweet for me.
