Parabola has been a major component of past anniversary blends and is one of our most aggressive offerings. This beer features bold bourbon and tobacco aromas and a rich dark chocolate, charred oak flavor. Parabola is best enjoyed in moderation and is a perfect beer to pair with those chocolate dessert favs. An extension of Quercus Alba —the Firestone Walker Barrel aged program. Foffern (2838) - Bodø, NORWAY - JAN 7, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2022 Bottle at home. Vintage 2018 (no. 009). Has a dark brown to black colour with no head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, tobacco, ash, rye bread, very dark chocolate and raisins. Flavour of bourbon, oak, tobacco, brown sugar, caramel, ash and leather. Warming alcohol in the end. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Very rich, multi-layered and tasteful. Relatively careful aroma compared to the flavour explosion.

We had this at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle Illinois in December 2021. This is a strong beer with lots of flavor. It was a good choice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

hauxe (3004) - Butzbach, GERMANY - OCT 15, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2021 2017 vintage. Don’t even know anymore where I picked this up, it’s been in the cellar for years, but possibly from wombat23. Virtually black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma of fudge, oak, cherries and lots of bourbon. Taste is moderate sweet with an intense, boozy finish, and lingering vanilla. Full bodied, chewy, moderate to mild carbonation. Definitely a slow sipper. Good, but too heavy on the barrel.
